One of the things that worried me about going out on my own, was having an overwhelming workload.
Coming from an in-house work environment I was familiar with my deadlines and how to manage my workload, so I was aware that when I started to freelance, I would not only take on projects - but also manage the business side of it too!
I learnt that I simply needed to ensure I had a system in place that would work for me.
This system would include:
Planning
Staying inspired
Limiting distractions
Setting consistent work hours
Not accepting new jobs until I have completed prior work
That system has since evolved and still serves me to this day - almost a year later!
So I'm curious as to what others have learnt since starting up? Let me know!
